R-D Earbuds: Repairable & Disassemblable Bluetooth Earbuds

“R-D” is a repairable, disassemblable pair of Bluetooth earbuds, in which I designed each part to be interchangeable, using small universal screws to hold all the components together. 

In 2030, in Europe, enterprises will be required by institutions to design repairable and recyclable products. 

I became interested in earbuds because there are currently no repairable earbuds on the market. In addition, at the end of this product’s life, every material can be recycled because the internal components are not glued as in other earbuds. These considerations are the result of decisions made at the product design stage that justify my design approach.
